As you can see by the map, people usually live by the water for numerous reasons. There are jobs, food and better climate. Speaking of climate, people normally dont live in deserts, like the Gobi. Where people live also determine the types of work they do, and how they travel. For example if you live on the South China Sea, the chances are high that you would fish. Or if you lived on a river, you would more than likely travel by boat.
